All you need to know about caring for your gerbils.
They are very curious, friendly, intelligent and active creatures. Gerbils in the wild live in colonies and depend on other gerbils within their clan. A solitary gerbil tends to become depressed, unhealthy, overweight and have shorter lifespans. Therefore, if you plan to adopt a gerbil you must adopt two, preferably a same sex sibling from the same litter. They interact with each other by sleeping, playing, boxing, grooming, jumping, burrowing and are much more entertaining to watch when their is two.
