Safe Foods

Any food given should be organic, free of chemicals and dyes.  Like humans and other animals, gerbils should only be fed treats in moderation (twice per week).  Any fruit and vegetables that has not been eaten with in 30 minutes needs to be removed from their tank and thrown away.

Nuts:  (no salt, roasted, or have skins)

Vegetables: (small amounts only)

  • Split Peas / Peas
  • Cucumber

  • Corn / Flaked Corn
  • Radish

Fruits: (small amounts only, can not have seeds from fruits)
